Idea #1: Sensor to detect quantity of people in establishments

I have an idea – let’s create a sensor to quantify people in a certain place. How cool would it to get real time if a place is busy or not?

It’s Thursday night, you get home to an empty fridge. You decide to visit your favourite Mexican restaurant, but after a 15 minutes drive you get to the place completely packed and with a 45 minutes waiting list. What to do? Imagine you could see if a place is busy before making a decision.

How to achieve this idea?

  • Need a sensor that can compare if a room is full or empty
  • Google maps to add this info

Debaters don’t do this because they are trying to achieve some deeper purpose or strategic goal, but for the simple reason that it’s fun.
